Tip 1 - Dig your blade deep! Fully submerge your paddle face for the highest efficiency.

Tip 2 - Use your legs and torso to do most of the work. Crunch over your shaft rather then pulling with your arms. Your legs and core are your strongest muscles.

Tip 3 - Stand up during recovery phase of stroke. Pop up right as you finish the movement phase of your stoke to maximize momentum.

Tip 4 - Don't over feather the blade on the release. Let gravity and air resistance do the work. On long paddles every bit of energy counts!
