The RST 24.5" is a stellar all-around elite performance/ race board for paddlers of all ability’s and covers a wide range of body-types. Stable in all conditions, the 24.5" charges up wind and can easily handle athletic paddlers up to 200+ pounds. The outline of the more narrow RST 23" is still maintained and therefore as a wider width option gives the ability to paddle hard while navigating your way through the ocean, and your not giving away much speed to have the added stability. Inspired by the race-winning rocker of the RS series known for its exceptional speed and maneuverability, the RST combines it with the unmatched rough water stability of the dugout of the Atlantis. This dugout design puts you right on the waterline that provides a lower center of gravity for the utmost confident stability, and gets you a quicker catch with every paddle stroke (versus a thicker board where you are higher off the waterline). The cockpit with lowered, flatted, and broadened standing area provides stability for navigating challenging conditions. The increased high bow volume and raised spine enable efficient navigation through choppy waters, while the venturi drain ensures quick water evacuation. A narrow outline with an extended bow bottom nose reduces drag for the ultimate speed in flat water/ harbor conditions. The RST offers top in-class speed and enhanced agility in rough water and swell with a narrowed outline, rounded rails, and a narrow tail for improved water release, better turns, and enhanced surf agility. SIC’s highest-end construction SF (Super Fly) has a full PVC sandwich wrapping the EPS closed-cell waterproof core (top, bottom, 360 degree rails) for a light, stiff and damp feeling core. The board is additionally wrapped in the highest-end carbon fiber and glass, providing the best ratio of killer lightweight and bomber durability (Unlike those other custom carbon boards out there that may be light, but lack in duribility). These boards are molded to ensure the best lamination strength and ensure that every board is precisely like the master shape. The RST is shaped by world renowned waterman and master shaper Mark Raaphorst from the island of Maui.
